The Delhi Government has cleared the much talked scheme Doorstep Delivery of Ration Scheme (DDRS) in Delhi. The proposal has been sent to LG for his approval once the scheme is approved by the LG the citizens in the Delhi will get their ration delivered at their doorsteps under the scheme.
The scheme is approved in the cabinet meet and the objective of the scheme is to avoid ration mafias in the ration distribution and to make sure that the real beneficiaries gets the alloted ration to them sitting at home.

- Ration will be delivered in the sealed packets which will reduce theft and adulteration
The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Shree Manish Sisodia announced the scheme and is hoping that the scheme will be cleared by the LG. There are some concerns about identifying real beneficiaries for doorstep delivery. The scheme will be linked with the AADHAAR. The scheme will help old aged and disabled specially.
