On October 8, 2020, Thursday, CMO Gujarat, Mr. Vijay Rupani announced the implementation of e-Sanjeevani OPDs scheme through videoconferencing in the state. It is a central government scheme now implemented in Gujarat state. This scheme is mainly to provide online medical facility to the patients from common diseases. This scheme is a boon in current times of social distancing. Also, this scheme will be beneficial to the people in rural areas as it will help them with expert consultation and that too without actually going all the way to the CHC/PHC. This scheme will enable a direct contact between the doctor and the patient.
