Phone Scheme for Farmers

Gujarat state government has come up with ‘Gujarat Phone Scheme for Farmers’ in the state. The scheme details were announced in a notification issued by the State Agriculture Department. Under this scheme the state government has decided to provide financial assistance up to Rs. 1500 to the farmers for purchasing a smartphone. This scheme is mainly announced for landholding farmers in Gujarat. It intends to encourage the farmers for using digital services. Smartphones will help the farmers in getting agriculture related information, schemes and services. Farmers will have to make application under this scheme  @i-khedut portal. This scheme is a crucial step towards Digital India mission.
