The Haryana Government has announced subsidy of Rs. 15,000 under Manohar Jyoti Yojana (MJY) on installation of solar home system. The primary objective of the scheme is to promote use of solar energy and reduce pollution. The MJY was launched in the year 2017 and government`s target is to install 1 lakh solar lighting system across the state.

- Applicable only in Haryana
- All the household electricity consumers can apply
Manohar Jyoti Yojana (MJY) Highlights, Application Forms & How to apply for solar subsidy:
- The scheme will be implemented by the New and Renewable Energy Department Haryana
- The government has issued tenders and will partner with the solar companies for the installation and services of the solar home system
- Once the preparation for the MJY is complete, government will then issue application forms and will provide procedure for application of solar units at home
- Lithium-Ion batteries will be part of the system which has long life and low maintenance
- The solar home system will be able to run one ceiling fan and three LED lights
- The solar system will have mobile charging point as well
