Delhi government planned scheme named Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana for the ration card holders across the state. Under the scheme the applicable ration will be sent to the respective card holder at his door step. Amidst the covid situations, this scheme will help as no movement of people from one place to another for ration will be required. On June 17, 2021 CM Arvind Kejriwal wrote a note to Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal regarding the scheme. There has been a constant dispute between the state and central government regarding this scheme. Now as all the required changes are made by the state government the scheme is ready for implementation in the state. Poor people across the state will be mainly benefited through this scheme.

• The main objective of the scheme is to ensure timely and uninterrupted distribution of food grains at the door step of the ration card holder
• It tends to build a core food distribution mechanism
• It would end the exploitation of the ration card holders/ beneficiaries by the middlemen or through frequent hoarding
• Food grains will be directly delivered at the door step of the card holder by the government
• It will assist the poor and needy people across the state in these pandemic situations
• It will enable the beneficiaries to get ration at the safety of their homes

• Delhi government has come up with a new scheme named Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana for the assistance of ration card holders across the state
• Under this scheme, the ration will be delivered at the door steps of the card holders
• The ration card holders will not be required to go to the ration shop for buying ration
• Rice and Wheat flour instead of wheat will be provided under the scheme

• CM Arvind Kejriwal also sent a note to the Lieutenant General Mr. Anil Baijal regarding the changes made thereby replying the oppositions made
• CM also agreed to follow the central norms for implementing the scheme and said he is looking forward to the approval and implementation of the scheme
• This scheme will thereby turn out to be a boon to the poor and needy people in these tough times of the pandemic
