Delhi state government started Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana for senior citizens in the state. This scheme was started in 2018 but its operation was paused due to the pandemic. Now the scheme is being resumed for the yatris with added routes and sites. As per the recent announcement Ayodhya is newly added in the list of pilgrim sites. Only senior citizens of 60 years and above age are eligible under the scheme. This scheme will benefit about 36000 senior citizens in the state.

Benefits:
- State sponsored darshan/trip to various pilgrimage sites and places.
- Trip will be include travel, stay, food and other expenses for each pilgrim.
- All senior citizens will have a choice of taking one attendant for assistance during the journey.
- Insurance cover of Rs. 1 lakh will be provided to each pilgrim.
- Beneficiaries will get an opportunity to visit pilgrim site and that too without any financial burden.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a resident of territorial jurisdiction of NCT of Delhi.
- Applicant must have completed 60 years of age.
- He/ she must not be employed with Central/ State government or Local/ Autonomous bodies.
- He/ she must not have availed the scheme in the past.
- In case of opting for attendant, the age of attendant must be more than 21 yeas of age.
Documents Required:
- Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID Card
- Copy of Medical Certificate (mentioning the applicant is mentally/ physically fit for the journey)
- Copy of Certificate of residence from MLA/ Minister of GNCT of Delhi/ Chairman – Tirath Yaatra Vikas Samiti GNCT of Delhi
- Self-Declaration
- Passport sized photo
Online Registration/ Application Process:
- Visit the official website @edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in.
- Click on the application link available on the home page for Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana.
- Start with New User Registration.
- Select the document – Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID and enter the document no.
- Enter security code, tick the declaration and click on Continue.
- Enter the remaining details to register.
- After successful registration an access code and password will be will be provided on the registered mobile no.
- Accordingly, login and fill in the required details.
- Upload required documents in prescribed format and submit.
- Take a printout of the form for future reference,
- Submitted application can also be tracked through the same portal.
