Nai Roshni is a Government of India scheme for development of leadership among minority women in India. Nai Roshni aims to empower and infuse confidence among women belonging to minority community, particularly Muslim women, by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with various Government systems, banks and other institutions. The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Minority Affairs through selected NGOs, civil societies, trust etc. The objective of scheme is to Empower and instil confidence among minority women, including their neighbours from other communities living in the same village or locality, by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with Government systems, banks and other institutions at all levels. Benefits of Nai Roshni Scheme:
- The benefits of the scheme are in terms of Trainings to women. Below are the training programmes:
- Non-residential Leadership Development Training in the village/urban locality
- Residential Leadership Development Training
- Nurturing and Hand Holding Training programme
- Concurrent Monitoring and Reporting Training
- Various workshop to women empowerment
Required Eligibility for Applying Nai Roshni Scheme:
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, women should fulfil the following conditions:
- Women should belong to one of the minority communities such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis)
- The age limit of the women should be 18 years to 65 years

- Institute verification form
- Passport size photo
- Religion Certificate (Self Declaration)
Application Procedure:
- Respond to the ministry advertisements published in newspapers, websites and other web platforms
- Applicant can also contact to the District Collector Or Deputy Commissioner Or Sub Divisional Officer/Block Development Officer
