The Chief Minister of Odisha Shree Navin Patnaik launched various schemes related to strengthen health care in the state. The objective of the new schemes is to improve health care delivery through public health system. The CM launched Nirmal, Sunetra and Sampurna Suraksha Kabacha Schemes on the occasion of world health day. The moto for the scheme is Health for All. In Odisha 91 per cent people relay on government healthcare support and government has allocated a budget of 120 crores for healthcare schemes.
Nirmal Healthcare Scheme:
- To promote healthy lifestyles
- To provide healthy lifestyles and hospitals
- To provide basic service such as laundry, security and lift services at public health facilities
Sunetra Scheme Odisha:
- Free screening and treatment of all the eye related diseases under the universal eye healthcare programme
- New Vision Centers will be setup where latest eye care technology, mass screening of diabetic retinopathy and lifelong treatment of glaucoma will be available
- All the eye treatments will be provided for free
Sampurna Suraksha Kabacha Scheme:
- A health & nutritious kit for newborns & mothers
- Rs. 69 crores are allocated for the scheme annually
- It will benefit more than 5.5 lakh mothers and newborns annually
