Uttar Pradesh has come up with a unique scheme ‘Parali Do, Khaad Lo’. This scheme is mainly designed for farmers across the state. Under this, farmers will be provided 1 trolley of cow dung manure for every 2 trolleys of stubble. Stubble refers to remains or the small parts of the farm crop left out after harvesting and usually farmers have to burn it to dispose it off. This burning causes pollution and harms the environment. Thus, Uttar Pradesh government has come with this new initiative. Stubble collected under this scheme will be used as fodder and at the same time, the manure given to the farmers will help them use it as a natural fertilizer thereby increasing the fertility of the soil and quality farm produce.
