Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students

The Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students launched by Indian Central Government, Ministry of Human Resource and Development. Pragati is a scheme of AICTE aimed at providing assistance for the advancement of Girls participation in Technical Education. This scheme is specially introduced for girls. This is an attempt to give every young woman the opportunity to further her education and prepare for a successful future by “empowering women through technical education”. Under this scheme, girls are benefited with financial assistance to continue or pursue higher technical education. For getting eligible under this scheme applicant candidate need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned below in article girls can take benefit of this scheme and can make themselves self-enough to earn and get the desired job

Benefits of Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students:

• Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students provides benefits in the form of financial assistance or financial help. Rates of scholarship are mentioned below
• Under this scheme Rs. 30,000 or actual fee is provided as a tuition fee
• Under this scheme Rs. 2,000 per month is provided for 10 month

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students:

1. Girl should be a permanent resident of India
2. Family annual income should not be more than Rs. 6 lakh
3. Only one girl per family is eligible
4. The candidates should have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree or Diploma programme in any of the AICTE approved institute during the academic year through centralized admission process of the State/ Centre Government
5. Reservation: 15% for SC, 7.5% ST and 27% for OBC candidate
6. The candidates will be selected on merit at the qualifying examination

Document required for applying Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students:

1. Copies of Mark sheet of standard 10^th /12^th / Others as applicable
2. Copy of annual family income certificate prescribed format issued by Tahsildar or Higher officer
3. Copy of admission letter to Diploma/Degree Course
4. Copy of tuition fee receipt
5. Copy of bank pass book showing name of the student, Account number, IFSC code, MICR code and Photograph
6. Copy of student PAN card (if available)
7. Copy of Aadhar card (if available)
8. Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/Head of the Institute
9. Declaration by parents
