Government of Uttarakhand has revamped the official portal of the state government. The major addition to the portal is; all the essential certificates can now be applied or downloaded online. The portal can be accessed at http://edistrict.uk.gov.in/ It supports English and Hindi. Users can apply or download following certificates from the portal:
- Domicile certificate
- Caste certificate
- Birth certificate
- Death certificate
- Character certificate
- Income certificate
- Freedom fighter certificate
- Solvency certificate
- Uttarjivi certificate
- Hill certificate
- Disaster recovery
Apart from certificate users also can apply for and get status on following government aids:
- Widow pension
- Handicap pension
- Old age pension
- Grievance Redressal
The portal was developed and launched under Govt. of India`s National eGovernance Plan scheme and can be used also for information government orders, reporting grievances and has integrated with the DigiLocker so that residents of the state can maintain all their documents and certificates online which can then be used while various applications.
The portal requires all the residents to register themselves so that they can be notified with important government information and the credentials are required while applying for various certificates on the portal.
Step by step process to register on the Government of Uttarakhand portal:
- Go to official portal of Government of Uttarakhand ( http://edistrict.uk.gov.in )
- Click on the Registration menu and Applicant sub-menu as shown below
- You will be taken to the registration page as shown below:
- Correctly specify all the required details and click Submit
- You will receive a PIN via SMS, specify it and click on the Activate Account
The portal also has a support for Common Service Center (CSC) centers and operators.

उत्तराखंड सरकार ने राज्य सरकार के आधिकारिक पोर्टल पर कई नयी सुविधाये उपलब्ध कराई है| अब उत्तरखंडवासियोंको सभी मुख्य सर्टिफिकेट घर बैठे ऑनलाइन ही मिलेंगे| यह पोर्टल अब हिंदी और इंग्लिश में बनाया गया है| पोर्टल पर अब निम्नलिखित प्रमाणपत्र के लिए आवेदन ऑनलाइन किया जा सकता है:

११. आपदा बहाली
प्रमाणपत्रोंके अलावा सरकरी जानकारी अब इसी पोर्टल से लोगो तक पोहोचाई जाएगी। अब आप सरकारी मदत के लिए भी इसी पोर्टल का इस्तामल कर सकते है :

३. वृद्धावस्था पेंशन
४. शिकयतों का सुधार
भारत सरकार की राष्ट्रीय इ-शासन योजना के तहत इस पोर्टल का निर्माण किया गया है जो की मोदी सरकार की एक प्रमुख योजना है|
उत्तराखंड पोर्टलपर रजिस्ट्रेशन की प्रक्रिया:
१. उत्तराखंड सरकार के आधिकारिक पोर्टल पर जाएँ ( http://edistrict.uk.gov.in )
२. पंजीकरण मेनू पर क्लिक करें और फिर आवेदक उप-मेनू पर क्लिक करे जैसे के निचे दिखाया गया है
३. पंजीकरण फॉर्म में सभी आवश्यक जानकारी भरे और Submit पर क्लिक करे 
४. आपको SMS से आपका PIN भेजा जायेगा उसे प्रदान करे और Activate Account पर क्लिक करे
