Scheme for Special Children

The Scheme for Special Children is started by Odisha State Government (Ministry of Women and Child Development) Department of Disability affairs for providing better education to Special children. The scheme aims to provide free education to children with disabilities through special schools, facilitated by professionally trained teachers with the assistance of Non-Government Organizations. Residential & Non-residential facilities are provided to the students for this purpose Rs. 750 per month per child and Rs. 150 per month per child respectively is being provided to all 51 Special schools

Benefits of Scheme for Special Children:

• Scheme for Special Children provides benefits in the form of financial assistance and free education to children with disabilities through special schools
• Each special child student will receive Rs. 750 per month as a financial assistance

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Scheme for Special Children:

1. Candidate must be a permanent residence state
2. Candidate must belong to one of special child categories like Disability or other
3. Students candidates of state Odisha are eligible for getting benefits under this scheme
4. Special schools will be facilitated by professionally trained teachers

Document required for applying Scheme for Special Children:

1. Disability certificate
2. Certificate that shows that candidate belongs to special child category
3. Aadhar card
4. Residence proof e.g. certificate from residence authority
5. Domicile certificate
6. Identity proof e.g. School ID
7. Birth certificate
8. Bank details e.g. Account holder name, Account number, IFSC code, MICR code, Branch name
9. BPL ration card (IF available)
