The Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Students to Pursue P.G. Studies in Basic Sciences is started by Odisha State Government (Ministry of Human Resource and Development). The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to encourage students who are pursuing their Post Graduate in basic science subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Botany etc. by providing financial assistance to them and to promote meritorious and brilliant students to pursue their Post Graduate in basic science subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Geology. The scheme will help directly and indirectly to the meritorious students to get their ambition and achieve dreams due to that scholarship there will be a lesser financial burden of fees and other expenses which requires for getting an education. The scheme will be implemented by Department of science and technology Odisha state.

- Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Students to Pursue P.G. Studies in Basic Sciences provides benefits in the form of financial assistance by providing a scholarship. Rates of scholarship are mentioned below
- Students will get Rs. 2000 per month for pursuing Post Graduate till the courses finishes or till complete duration
- Scholarship will be provided for 2 years of duration
Required eligibility and conditions for applying Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Students to Pursue P.G. Studies in Basic Sciences:
- Candidate must be a permanent residence of Odisha state
- Candidate must have passed Graduation with Grade “A” in Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, and Geology, Chemistry
- Candidate who is already getting another scholarship are eligible for application
- Candidate must be a student of Post Graduate course mentioned next Physic, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Geology, Chemistry in Govt. colleges/Govt. autonomous colleges/ Universities/ Govt. Aided autonomous colleges/ Govt. Aided private colleges recognized by Govt. of Odisha

- Aadhar card
- Permanent residence proof e.g. certificate from residence authority
- Bonafide certificate
- Income certificate
- Previous year Marksheets
- Bank details e.g. IFSC code, MICR code, Account number, Account holder name, Branch name
- UG Degree certificate
- Caste certificate
- Non-creamy layer certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Passport size photographs
- Two self-addressed unstamped envelop (23 cm x 11 cm)
- Birth certificate
- All documents must be attested
