On May 13, 2021 Chhattisgarh government released an official press release thereby announcing the ‘Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dular Scheme’. This scheme is launched for children facing hardships due to the pandemic situations. Under this scheme the state government will pay for the education of those children who lost their parents due to covid or those children who lost the bread earner in their family. The state government will provide Rs. 500 per month as scholarship to the students studying from class 1st to 8th and would provide Rs. 1000 per month as scholarship to the students studying from class 9th to 12th . This scheme is an important step taken by the state government to take care of the beneficiary children and their education even in these tough times and thereby this will help in shaping the future of these children.
