The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced an incentive scheme called Chief Minister Agriculture Productivity Scheme Madhya Pradesh (मुख्यमंत्री कृषि उत्पादकता योजना) for farmers in the state. He announced incentives on top of minimum support price (MSP) so that the farmers gets the fair price. The CM announced the schemes in the convocation of farmers in Bhopal.
Chief Minister Agriculture Productivity Scheme MP (मुख्यमंत्री कृषि उत्पादकता योजना) Benefits:
- Rs. 200 per quintal incentive on top of MSP for wheat and paddy crops
- PM Narendra Modi announced Rs. 1,735 as minimum support price for wheat
- The MSP for wheat in MP will be more than Rs. 2,000
- Bonus amount of Rs. 200 will be given on paddy crops as well from the next season
Highlights of Farmers Convocations in Bhopal:
- Rs. 200 per quintal incentive on top of MSP by central government on wheat and paddy
- E-procurement of 67.25 lakh metric tonnes of wheat on support price was made in the Rabi season of 2016-17
- Rs 1,340 crore was paid to 7.38 lakh wheat farmers
- E-procurement of 16.59 lakh metric tonnes of paddy on support price in Kharif 2017 is done and Rs 330 crore would be paid to 2.83 lakh farmers soon
- Gram, masoor and mustard crops would be included in the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in 2017-18 and onion in 2018-19
