The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur launched Mukhya Mantri Yuva Ajivika for youth in the state. The scheme will provide financial assistance to start small business in the Himachal Pradesh. The main objective of the scheme is to provide self-employment opportunities to the youth in the state and also to create employment in the state. The scheme will empower youth in the state and make them financially strong. With the scheme financial assistance in terms of loan and interest subsidy will be provided to start small businesses such as shops, restaurants, tour operators, adventure tourism, traditional handicrafts and similar businesses.
HP Mukhya Mantri Yuva Ajivika Yojana: The Himachal government scheme to provide financial assistance to start small businesses for youth in the state.
Mukhya Mantri Yuva Ajivika Objectives:

Mukhya Mantri Yuva Ajivika Yojana Benefits:
- Bank loans to start business upto Rs. 30 lakh
- 25% subsidy on the business loans
- 5% interest subsidy on the loan for first 3 years
- 30% subsidy on the business loans for women entrepreneurs
Mukhya Mantri Yuva Ajivika Yojana Eligibility:
- Youth who are permanent residents of Himachal Pradesh are eligible
- Youth in the age group of 18 years to 35 years are eligible
The Himachal Government has provided budget of Rs. 75 crores for the scheme. The scheme is also expected to promote tourism along with local culture, food, traditions and art. It will boast home based small manufacturing units as well. The CM announced the scheme in the National Saras Fair-2018 by the State Rural Development Department. It will help all those who wants to start business ventures but cannot start one due to lack of funds. The CM also launched Jan Manch logo and launched Namaste Dharamshala booklet for tourists on the occasion.
Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan Yojana Himachal Pradesh:
The new scheme by the Himachal government for construction of community houses in the state. Community houses will be constructed in each of the Vidhan Sabha constituencies across the state. Government will provide Rs. 30 lakh for construction of each of the community houses. The community houses can be used by the citizens for various ceremonial gatherings.
