To ensure good health and welfare of the migrant workers in the state

West Bengal government has come up with a new ration scheme named ‘Porijai Sahay’ for assisting the migrant workers in the state. State Labour department introduced the scheme and provided the scheme details. Under this scheme the state government will provide free monthly ration to the migrant workers in the state. The beneficiaries will get 5 kgs of food grains free of cost every month. The Labour department has notified about 2,833 migrant workers in the state. Benefit under this scheme will be provided to all the identified beneficiaries. This scheme tends to assist the migrant labourers across the state thus ensuring their welfare.
